Creativity | The Art Tools I Use - Creating Tokreen Magic from Recycled Materials
❤❤❤
π In Today’s Real Life…
Hello my friends π
I’ve been asked so many times:
π “What do you use to create your art?”
So today…
π I’m opening my art bag
Not to show perfection
π but to show possibility
Because everything I create -
π starts with something simple
❤❤❤
π± Life Lessons | My Philosophy - Create with What You Have
Art doesn’t have to be expensive -
π it just needs heart
I use:
- old tins
- denim
- wood pieces
- broken items
- forgotten things
Because I believe:
π nothing is truly useless
Every piece holds:
- a story
- a memory
- a second chance
And that’s what Tokreen-style art means to me
❤❤❤
π Life & Creativity | My Everyday Art Tools
These are the tools I use the most -
Simple
Affordable
Powerful
𧴠1. My Tokreen Mix (Homemade Magic)
When I don’t have Tokreen -
π I make my own
My mix:
- 1 part wood glue
- 1 part acrylic paint
- optional water for texture
π Mix until smooth
Use it to:
- coat
- seal
- texture
π‘ Tip: Add a touch of black or brown -
π for a vintage aged look
π¨ 2. Paints & Brushes
I mainly use acrylic paint -
Because it is:
- strong
- fast-drying
- easy to layer
I keep:
- fine brushes (details, eyes, lines)
- larger brushes (base coats, texture)
π Even old brushes work beautifully
π‘ Tip: Clean brushes immediately -
π they last much longer
♻️ 3. Recycled Materials
This is where the magic begins -
Coffee tins
Denim
Wood
Broken jewellery
π all become something new
I often:
- paint a black base
- layer colour on top
π creating that vintage Tokreen look
π‘ Try this:
Paint black → dry → dry brush gold or copper
π instant magic ✨
πΈ 4. Finishing Touches
This is where personality comes in:
- buttons
- ribbons
- pins
- small charms
Then I seal with:
- glue
- or clear varnish
π to protect and shine
❤❤❤
πͺ Life Lessons | Why I Create
Every piece I make feels alive -
Because this is more than art
π it’s healing
Just like rescue:
- animals
