A tiny life

Blertsie came into our lives like that.
Unexpected
Fragile
And needing everything we had to give
And somehow…
👉 he gave us even more in return

One morning - on the way to work - my husband stopped the car in traffic.
No explanation
No hesitation
He stepped out…
And came back holding a baby bird
Tiny
Barely feathered
Cold
That was Blertsie
At that time - life wasn’t easy:
- no stable income
- animals already depending on us
- stress building daily
And yet…
👉 we made space for one more life
💛 When Hope Feels Small
We made him a bed in a shoebox:
- soft lining
- warmth
- quiet space
We fed him what we could - slowly - carefully
Until I could get proper hand-rearing food
But things got worse before they got better:
- one eye blind
- body weak
- signs of rejection from his nest
And I thought…
👉 he wouldn’t make it
I told my husband to let him go peacefully
But he didn’t

That night…
My husband stayed up
Feeding him
Warming him
Praying over him
Believing…
👉 when I had already lost hope
And the next morning?
We heard a sound
Soft
Fragile
Alive
